Rounds, themes, the clock, voting and how a look wins.

What is Facecard: Makeup Showdown?

  • A makeup contest on Roblox. Everyone gets the same theme and paints it onto their own 3D face.
  • When time is up, every look gets its moment on screen and the other players rate it with stars.
  • The best rated looks take the top spots. May the best facecard win!

How does a round work?

  • Lobby: a short countdown while players gather.
  • Paint: the theme pops up and the paint screen opens.
  • Brushes down: everyone's look is collected.
  • Vote: each look is shown in turn and rated from 1 to 5 stars.
  • Results: the winner, the top three and the full leaderboard. Then it starts again with a new theme.

Where do I see the theme and the time left?

  • On the banner at the top of the screen: the theme, a one-line brief and the clock.
  • The clock turns pink for the last seconds, so you know to finish up.
  • There are over a hundred themes, from looks like Smokey Eye to moods like Villain Era.

What does the DONE button do?

  • Press it when your look is finished. It asks for a second tap so you can't press it by accident.
  • If every painter presses DONE, the round moves on early.
  • Not done in time? No stress. Your look is collected as it is when the clock runs out.

I joined in the middle of a round. What now?

  • If there is still enough painting time, you are dropped straight into the round and paint with the time that is left.
  • If the round is nearly over, you watch from the lobby and can still vote.
  • While you wait you can open the shop, your Lookbook, or hop into Freeplay.

Can we get more painting time?

  • Yes. The small gold + button on the clock adds extra minutes for everyone in the server.
  • It can be used once per round and costs Robux.
  • It disappears for the rest of the round once somebody has used it.

How do I win?

  • Looks are ranked by their average star rating. If two looks tie, the one with more votes goes first.
  • First, second and third place earn a bonus, and everyone who took part earns something.
  • You need to have painted in the round to place.

What happens after the results?

  • The results show the winner's look, second and third place and a leaderboard of everyone.
  • Press the X to head back to the lobby early, or just wait.
  • A new round starts after a short break.
